Ship launching ceremony

As part of the launching ceremony for the world’s greenest research vessel, a symposium is held in honour of the renowned German marine geologist Eugen Seibold, who died in 2013. Among the attendees are numerous illustrious guests from the world of marine research – and from the Werner Siemens Foundation, which financed the construction of the ship.
